During this period of Covid19 that we are all faced with, we are all trying to keep our immune system strong by having a healthy diet, exercising regularly and sleeping well.  Equally important to this is our oral hygiene. A Healthy mouth and good oral health during Covid 19 are more important now than ever before!

Covid and Oral Health Care Planning

Here at Dental Tech Group, we would like to provide you with a protective oral care regime for all the family; from young kids, to parents and grandparents according to each one need.

Care for natural teeth

✔️ use a soft toothbrush and a pea sized amount of toothpaste

✔️ brush teeth twice a day

✔️ spit but avoid rinsing after brushing to allow the toothpaste to work

✔️ use an electric toothbrush for better results

❗ change toothbrushes every three months.

Care for gums

✔️ Floss once a day

✔️ use a fluoride toothpaste

✔️ use a therapeutic mouthwash

Reduce tooth decay

✔️ a drink of water after meals, snacks, other drinks and medications is good for cleansing the mouth

✔️ reduce the frequency of sugar intake between meals or avoid sugar altogether if possible

✔️ have a good daily oral care routine

Care for dentures

✔️ use a denture brush with liquid soap and hand-warm water and clean the denture twice a day

✔️ use a soft toothbrush to clean gums and tongue

✔️ remove dentures overnight storing them in a sealed container of clean water

✔️ disinfect dentures twice a week

Dry mouth

✔️ keep the mouth moist by drinking plain tap water

✔️ limit sugary food or drinks, juice, tea and coffee

✔️ Use Pamex dry mouth spray or gel
